Technical Overall Rating (based on average of above ratings): 7.4/10

*This rating is unbiased and based completely on the honest ratings for each category and so may often be lower than my personal rating. This is the rating you’d probably like to go by when deciding if you’ll watch a series or not, unless my explanation for my personal rating of why it deserved a better rating is one you agree with

Personal Overall Rating (based solely on my personal enjoyment): 7.5/10

*This rating is totally biased and based completely on my personal feelings of the anime. This will often be higher than the technical rating because sometimes I love certain series despite them being kind of bad. My reasons for the higher rating will often be given here or in the GC.

Should You Watch: If you want an interesting monster girl anime without a harem, yes!

General Comments: This show was an interesting one. It appeared to be a standard slice of life or girls club show, and it’s how it started, but there was always a darker tone hinted behind the scenes. A few episodes in, we could start to see why. It tackled some serious, deep and thought provoking themes under a moe kind of veil. It’s something I’ve rarely seen and although many people disliked the world building going on between the SoL moments, I found it to be one of the show’s most interesting aspects. The canon lesbian couple and the additional yuri ships of course only made me appreciate it that much more. It may not be for everyone, but if you don’t mind a little world building in your moe SoL anime, then give it a shot.
